Police seal off CJN's office, eject staff
Officers of the Nigerian Police Force sealed off the office of the chief justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, on Monday, January 28
- The policemen reportedly arrived as early as 7am and proceeded to seal off the office and eject all administrative staff
- Clerical and other staff who were already at their desks were reportedly ordered to leave; after which, the policemen locked up everywhere
The office of the embattled chief justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, has been sealed off by operatives of the Nigerian Police Force.
According to Punch, the incident took place on Monday, January 28 and was made public by sources at the Supreme Court
The move is reportedly an attempt to stop any possibility of Onnoghen accessing the office.
One of the sources reportedly stated: “The police have sealed the office of the CJN. Officers and men of the Force went to the administrative staff offices at about 7am and ordered clerical and other staff who were already at their desks to leave after which they locked up everywhere.”McCozar report.
