Abdullahi Baffa, the sacked executive secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), has disclosed that he was forced out of office for refusing to provide monetary kickbacks to the minister of education, Adamu Adamu.
According to Premium Times, Baffa made the disclosure on Wednesday, January 23, during an interview on BBC Hausa.
He said: “If they bring any evidence indicting me, I’m ready to accept death punishment."
Baffa said he had been accused by Adamu, on several occasions, of insubordination for addressing press conferences without his consent.
