Don’t say anything about this case - Court warns Melaye, grants him bail - A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) high court grants Senator Dino Melaye bail again as he faces arraignment on a nine-count charge - The court holds that the bail granted the senator is to make it easier for him to face his trial since he is innocent until proven otherwise by the court - Justice Yusuf Halilu warns Melaye not to say anything about the matter to the media since it is still pending in court The high court sitting in Maitama, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and presided over by Justice Yusuf Halilu has again granted bail to Dino Melaye, a senator, earlier arraigned on a nine-count charge of trying to evade arrest. Melaye, who represents Kogi West at the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly, is facing issues of alleged conspiracy, resistance to arrest, failure to honour police invitation and intentionally giving false information to the public. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the senator’s application was filed by Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), his lawyer.
